TRY A TRADE PROGRAM

This is the perfect opportunity for you to meet some of our trainers and experience practical activities in each of the following trades:

  • îŠElectrical
  • îŠPlumbing
  • îŠRefrigeration & Air Conditioning
  • îŠConstruction
  • îŠEngineering
These interactive learning sessions aim to give participants a ‘taste’ of the above trades, and to help them decide whether a VET course or an apprenticeship is the right career path for them.

PEER currently offers a one-day Try a Trade Program at our award-winning training centre located in Albert Park.

If a student is not eligible for the CITB subsidy, the cost per participant is $129.00 (Inc. GST). Contact PEER on 8348 1200 for funding criteria.

SAFETY FIRST

For safety reasons, all participants must have:

  • îŠLong sleeve shirt or top (no hoodies with drawstring).
  • îŠLong pants
  • îŠClosed in shoes
  • îŠPEER will supply safety glasses and gloves, if required.

GETTING TO PEER

By Train

Catch the ‘Outer Harbor’ train and disembark at Cheltenham station. It is about 10 minutes walk from there.

By Bus

PEER is located on a major bus route.

 If travelling from the city take Bus 150 and disembark at Stop 27.
